It was an absolute joy talking with filmmaker/writer Alanna Brown about her independent film Trees of Peace that just debuted in April at the Santa Barbara Film Festival. Alanna spent 10 years writing, developing, raising funds, then finally shooting this indie movie about the 1994 Rwandan genocide. Alanna is also one of the writers of the upcoming Blindspotting tv series coming out this summer on Starz. Obviously we're excited about her work on one of our favorite films turned tv shows and wishing her the best on her upcoming projects! Let's get into it.
